Scheduling Your Day

Plan the day's jobs, set up recurring visits, and read the capacity bar.

Guide 2 min read

The Schedule tab is your home base. Pick a date and you’ll see that day’s jobs in the order you’ll drive them, with a capacity bar up top.

Adding a job

Tap [+], choose a customer, pick one or more services, set the date, and save. The service picker defaults to that customer’s enabled services at their prices; you can enable a new service on the spot. A job needs a customer and at least one service to save.

Ordering the day

Jobs are a simple queue, a date plus a running order, no rigid clock times. Drag jobs into the sequence you’ll actually drive, or let route optimization sort them for you.

Recurring visits (rolling model)

Set a job to repeat Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly and YardPath keeps the next visit on your calendar and rolls the following one forward each time you complete or skip one. This keeps your schedule clean and weather-proof, no wall of future jobs to clean up after a rainy week.

  • Reschedule one visit, creates a new job on the new date and keeps the cadence intact; it doesn’t shift the whole series.
  • Skip a visit, drops that occurrence and rolls the next one forward.
  • End the series, “Cancel all future occurrences” stops it entirely.

The capacity bar

The bar shows the day’s estimated work plus drive time against your daily target. It’s green under target, orange as you approach it, and red when you’re over. Tap it for an hour-by-hour breakdown, where you can nudge a single day’s estimates without changing your saved durations.

Overdue & priority customers

Jobs past their scheduled date get an overdue badge, and a morning notification lists them. Customers who’ve drifted behind their cadence appear in a collapsible “behind on service” banner at the top of the day, each with a Schedule Today button.

Working the job

From a job you tap through its status, Scheduled → En Route → In Progress → Complete. That flow is covered in Working a job.
