Notifying Customers

On-my-way texts with a real ETA, completion notices, and reschedule updates, from your own number.

Guide 1 min read

YardPath helps you look responsive without having to remember to text. All messages go out as normal SMS from your own phone number, so replies come straight back to you.

“On my way” with a real ETA

Send an on-my-way text from a job, or accept the prompt when you complete the previous stop. The ETA is based on your live location at that moment, not a guess, and it’s capped so a bad GPS fix or a far-off simulated location doesn’t text a customer an absurd arrival time. If a reasonable ETA can’t be computed, the message simply says you’re on the way, without a number.

Completion notifications

When you mark a job complete, YardPath can prompt you to let the customer know it’s done, one tap.

Reschedules

Move a visit and the customer’s message goes out with the new date automatically. (Scheduling is day-based, so messages reference the day, not a clock time.)

One shared template

Your on-my-way message comes from a single template you can edit in Settings, change it once and both the manual and completion-triggered messages use it. Consistent wording, no retyping.

Weekly recap

A weekly recap notification sums up your week, jobs completed, miles driven, so the week never gets away from you.
