Managing Customers
Build your book of business, set per-customer pricing, and stay ahead of overdue clients.
Your customers live on the Customers tab. Each record holds contact info, an address, notes, a type (Residential or Commercial), and per-service pricing.
Adding customers
Tap [+] to add a customer by hand, name and phone are required, address is recommended (YardPath geocodes it in the background so it can appear on your route map).
Import from iPhone Contacts
Tap [+] → Import from Contacts to pull in clients you already have. YardPath pre-fills each record and flags possible duplicates (same name + phone) so you can Skip, Merge, or import anyway. You confirm every record before it’s saved.
Per-customer pricing
Open a customer and add the services they receive, each at the price that customer pays. When you schedule a job, that price is snapshotted onto the job, so changing a customer’s rate later doesn’t rewrite past jobs or invoices.
Service drift (overdue customers)
YardPath tracks service drift, how far past a customer’s normal cadence their last completed visit is. When someone slips meaningfully behind, a drift badge appears on their row and they surface in the “behind on service” banner on your schedule, so you can slot them back in.
Capacity overview
A capacity view warns when your recurring commitments exceed what a week can realistically hold (biweekly work is pro-rated, monthly divided out), a gut check before you take on the next yard.
Archiving & export
Archive a customer to remove them from pickers and scheduling while keeping their history. You can export your customers back to iPhone Contacts any time (into a dedicated “YardPath Customers” group), your list is never locked inside the app.
