Everything financial lives in one Finances tab: a summary of the period, profitability, and exportable reports.

Profitability

YardPath computes dollars-per-hour from the jobs you complete, what you billed divided by how long the work actually took. Customers are ranked by weighted $/hour so you can see, at a glance, which relationships pay and which don’t.

Set a target hourly rate in your business profile and YardPath flags jobs and customers earning below it, so pricing decisions are grounded in real numbers instead of gut feel. (Leave the target unset and you still get the dashboard, it just won’t flag outliers.)

Reports & export

• Mileage / Tax, a mileage log you can export as a PDF and hand to your accountant for your tax paperwork. Each trip shows a method label, Automatic, Estimated, or Manual, explained in What the labels in your exported log mean.
• Expenses, a categorized ledger of receipts and logged costs you can export as a PDF or CSV, mileage deduction included. See Expense capture & tax export.
• Summary, a plain-language read on the period’s work and money.

Filter any view by This Week / This Month / All Time.

Reports summarize what you entered, so check the numbers before you file or send anything based on them. On the mileage side, start with Trips to Check, which gathers the trips YardPath has doubts about, but treat an empty list as a starting point rather than a clean bill of health, it only ever catches what the app noticed. YardPath is a recordkeeping tool, not tax advice, what you need to track and how it’s classified is between you and your tax professional.

Billed vs. collected

Reports reflect what you actually collected, not just what you sent, partial payments and credit are accounted for, so the numbers describe your real business.

Profitability is informational, it never gates a feature. It just tells you the truth about where your time goes.
