Getting Started with YardPath
From download to your first scheduled day in about five minutes.
Welcome to YardPath. The first time you open the app, a short setup walks you through everything below, you won’t have to hunt for these settings.
1. First-run setup
On first launch, YardPath guides you through a few quick screens:
- Welcome, a quick look at what the app does.
- Business profile, your name and business name (required); these appear on invoices. Optionally add a home base address, which YardPath uses as the starting point for mileage.
- Your workday, the days you work each week and your target hours per day (defaults to 8). This drives the capacity bar on your schedule.
- Choose plan, start your 7-day free trial (or restore a previous purchase). See Subscription & billing.
- All set, a quick confirmation, then you land on the Schedule tab.
YardPath does not ask for location or contacts access during setup, you grant those later, only when you use the features that need them.
2. Add a few customers
Open the Customers tab and add the clients you’ll service this week, or import them straight from your iPhone Contacts. Set each customer’s per-service pricing so invoices are correct from day one. Full walkthrough: Managing customers.
3. Schedule your first day
On the Schedule tab, add jobs for today and drag them into the order you’ll drive. Set up recurring visits once and let them roll forward on their own. Details: Scheduling your day.
4. Turn on mileage (optional)
Want YardPath to log your business miles automatically for tax time? Enable location tracking in Settings → Mileage. Recorded distances are estimates you’ll want to review before you rely on them, Tracking mileage covers how they’re produced and how to check them.
That’s it, you’re ready to run the day from your phone. The rest of this knowledge base explains each part of the app in depth.
